It's Friday!

Goodness what a week!  I am beyond exhausted.  It is 12am and I am still up working on PBS rewards.  My school has started the process for PBS (Positive Behavior Supports).  We are doing a school wide "Caught Ya" ticket system.   If we catch a child from another class being good, we hand them a ticket.  They fill it out and put it in a bucket.  The principal draws one from each grad level on Fridays and calls the kids' names on morning announcements.  They also get their picture on the "I Got Caught Being Good Board" at the front of the school.  We are also using the clip up/down charts.

Each teacher is responsible for her own classroom incentive.  Well, I am tired of spending so much money every year to try and bribe children.  Honestly, it's the most simple things that they love.
With that being said, I've decided to do "warm fuzzies" in my room.  Why do you ask???  Because I have a whole box full of pompoms (aka warm fuzzies).  When I catch a child on task, I will simply walk over, tell them I love how they are doing _____________.... and hand them a pompom.  It's their responsibility to save it for Friday.  On Fridays they get to trade them in.
I created these tickets that I am going to print on colored card stock.  I am going to give my students the option to spend their fuzzies on a coupon or to save them for something bigger.  This will be done on Fridays.

So the first full day has come and gone...I am tired.  I wanted to show you a few more things.

First my wonderful mother in law bought me these really cute coasters for Christmas.  I don't have a need for them right now so I repurposed them.  I stuck a magnet on the back and glued ribbon to it.  Now it is what I use for my "How We Go Home" board.

Also we are starting PBS at our school.  We all made these clipboards out of colored tape.  We will carry them all through school for the entire year.  I am trying to come up with a way to reward my students for good behavior.  Do you have any suggestions?  I am not really wanting to buy stuff, just reward them with little things like sit at the picnic table for the day, etc.
